PA10 Vinyl Etch Primer

• Type: Single-pack vinyl etch primer
• Chemistry: Vinyl-based etch primer
  
• Use: Aluminium, steel and other non-ferrous metals
• Marine use: Above the waterline
• Finish: Low sheen / matt
• Colours: Red oxide, grey and black

Performance Characteristics

• Provides excellent anti-corrosive protection
• Etches the metal while simultaneously providing the first primer coat
• Promotes adhesion of subsequent coating systems
• Particularly useful on aluminium and steel
• Quick drying compared with conventional build primers
• Suitable for marine and freshwater environments above the waterline.

• Aluminium
• Steel
• Zinc-galvanised steel
• Other non-ferrous metals
• Concrete floors in certain applications

It is not intended for aluminium propellers.

Drying / Recoat

• Touch dry: approximately 15–45 minutes at 23°C, depending on the particular application conditions/source
• Recoat: approximately 10 hours according to the NZ retail technical information
• Lower temperatures and high humidity will extend drying times.

Important: Don't treat the very fast touch-dry time as meaning you can immediately put any coating over it. Follow the PA10 TDS and the TDS of the coating going over it.
